WHAT IS CROSS-TRAINING?
Training in two or more sports in order to improve fitness and performance, especially in a main sport.
WHY PRACTICE PILATES FOR TRIATHLONS?
Pilates is a fantastic exercise routine to add to your weekly Triathlon workouts, we call this cross training.
You personally spend time training specifically on your running, cycling or swimming, we as Pilates specialist come along once or twice a week and focus on strengthening your stabilizing muscles so you injure less, we pinpoint which joints need to mobilize and loosen up increase your range of movement and specifically look at the exercise form you choosing so that we can increase flexibility in your tight areas of your body.
Repetitive movement can cause this in one plane of movement can cause over-development of muscle groups and cause imbalances in the body. Pilates will make sure that this doesn’t happen or at least prevent it from becoming a problem.
