Equipment or Couples Classes

In an Equipment Class session 2 – 4 clients work together with one instructor, you are placed into these classes according to your level, the levels are beginner, intermediate, advanced or mentorship.

With each class you will rotate through the different apparatus, Reformers, Trapeze Tables, Exo Chairs and Arcs.Clients learn to work more independently, learn to set up their apparatus and are generally expected to have a higher level of awareness of their body and its strengths or limitations.

The instructors and studio will place you in the correct levelled class so that your goals are met. This is a great way for friends or like-minded people to work out together.Couples classes are exactly the same as an equipment class they are for two clients and one instructor.

Private Classes

A Private session is a one-on-one lesson on our Balanced Body apparatus. These sessions provide a space for you to learn the Pilates method and gives your instructor an opportunity to address or discuss your individual needs and goals as well as lay down the foundation for future Pilates work.

For the client who has previous exposure to Pilates, Private sessions allow your teacher to develop a customized system of exercises to address your specific and individual goals.For the sportsman or more advanced client, one-on-one instruction will help to improve the quality and precision with which you work.

Your teacher will be able to address any issues that you are experiencing and add new exercises to improve strength, co-ordination, flexibility and breath control to suit your selected sport.Please see below:

Group Classes

Group classes are conducted on the mat, utilizing your own body weight and small apparatus such as rebounders, magic circles, bands, physio balls, small weights and foam rollers.

The foundation of all Pilates work starts on the mat, learn to build endurance and understand your body whilst being challenged by your fellow class mates.

Comfort is the key. You have to be able to move so that you are not thinking about your clothes. Your clothes need to fit you well. I lean towards clothes that are made up of natural fibers and a stretch material.

I also recommend going to the studio in layers. I recommend throwing on a light sweater or leg warmers that can easily be removed once your get your blood flowing. Please no baggy clothing.
For the feet: we prefer barefoot but socks can be worn too.
